British Bands

15.11.10

i tried, today, to put together a list of some (fairly recent) British music that online friends in America might not have heard quite yet. i attempted to include a variety of artists from a host of styles and backgrounds; some well known & others not-so; not all of whom i would claim to be a fan of; in order to try and present a broad spectrum of the current British music scene.

i'm not entirely convinced i've done a very respectable job..

This is the play-list i've so-far come up with:

(Adele; Bat For Lashes; Biffy Clyro; Bombay Bicycle Club; Cheryl Cole; the Cinematic Orchestra; Diana Vickers; Dizzee Rascal; Elbow; Eliza Doolittle; Ellie Goulding; Emmy the Great; Enter Shikari; Everything Everything; Florence + the Machine; Frank Turner; Frightened Rabbit; HURTS; Jack Penate; James Blunt; Jamie T; Kate Nash; Kitty the Lion; Laura Marling; Los Campesinos!; Manic Street Preachers; Marina and the Diamonds; McFly; Mumford & Sons; Muse; Noah and the Whale; One Night Only; Paloma Faith; Panda Su; Paolo Nutini; Patrick Wolf; Pearl & the Puppets; Plan B; Professor Green; Rend Collective Experiment; Slow Club; Stornoway; Take That; the Ting Tings; Tinie Tempah; Twin Atlantic; the Wanted; the XX; & You Me At Six.)

Which other British bands, artists or musicians would you have included to better represent our current music scene?
