TAG! // The 11 Things Tag

It's a long time since I did a post like this, but I was tagged by Karen from Tiny Bird Heart and I happen to be having a rare lazy morning (yay, no 8am shift!) browsing the internet so why not?

It works like this: I'm supposed to answer the 11 questions set by the blogger who tagged me - i.e. Karen - and then I've to tag some more bloggers and set 11 questions of my own for them to answer, keeping or changing as many of the previous questions as I choose. Simple!

Here goes...

1. Your favourite blog.
There are so many blogs that I enjoy reading, but my preferences very much depend on my mood and interests at that time. I read a lot of local (or at least Scottish) blogs, but I've had a long-time love for both Nirrimi's Fire and Joy (incredible photography; dreamy writing and a fascinating lifestyle) and Lindley Battle's blog (again, incredible photography, as well as healthy food, travel and outdoor adventures).

2. Your favourite holiday destination so far.
This is tricky. I'll always have a huge place in my heart for Tanzania because of the people we met there and the special moments we shared with them, and I almost feel like a traitor for saying anywhere else, but everything about Iceland captivated me and it's the place I most find myself longing to return to.

3. The last film you watched.
'Breakfast at Tiffany's' - for the first time ever, would you believe?

4. Your favourite teddy or soft toy growing up.
I don't think I was ever attached to any one toy in particular - certainly not in a must-go-everywhere-with-me kind of way - but I think my parents might still have a big pink mouse and a rabbit with pale green dungarees and light-up rosy cheeks that I was given as a newborn. Really, though, who needs soft toys when you grow up surrounded by soft cuddly four-legged things?

5. Your favourite decade.
The 90s, obviously! Power Rangers, popper trousers, Sega Mega Drive, super soakers, Tamagotchis, UFO yoghurts, Clarissa Explains It All, scented pens, jelly shoes, Gladiators, hairstyles with all of the clips, "Have you ever, ever felt like this? When strange things happen, are you going Round the Twist?"...

6. The last person you retweeted and what it said.
The organisation See Me.. (@seemescotland) saying, "You can get involved in #letswalkamile again tomorrow in Lanarkshire. Check out details on bit.ly/1Lr2UGX"

7. Your middle name(s).
Amy.

8. Who was your favourite Spice Girl?
I wasn't hugely into the Spice Girls - certainly not in the same league as Christy anyway! - but I reckon Sporty Spice would have taken my vote.

9. What are you currently reading?
'Teach Us To Sit Still: A Sceptic's Search for Health and Healing' by Tim Parks.

10. Do you play any instruments?
Alas, no. I really wanted to learn to play guitar - my parents even bought me one in celebration of my Standard Grade results - but I was too scared to go for lessons and didn't have the perseverance (nor talent!) to learn from tutorials or videos.
Also, it hurts! My poor wee fingers.

11. Can you curl your tongue?!
Yup!

I'd like to tag Denise of The Life of Dee, Susan from Mess in the Ness, Claire from G is for Gingers, Morag of Mo'Adore, and Rachel of Rachel Cara Bell.

And here are your questions, ladies:

1. How did you first get into blogging?
2. What TV shows are you enjoying at the moment?
3. Do you have any intolerances, dietary requirements or unusual food preferences?
4. What clubs or activities were you involved in as a child?
5. What's the last book you read?
6. Where is your location of choice when writing blog posts?
7. Do you believe in a Higher Power?
8. Which country would you most like to visit and why?
9. When you left school, what were your plans and aspirations? (Did you end up doing those things?)
10. What's your favourite restaurant/cafe/coffee shop?
11. Belly button: innie or outie?

Looking forward to reading your answers!
