10 Songs, Vol. 13

10 tracks I've been enjoying in July when that awful-but-catchy Miley Cyrus song hasn't been stuck in my head! Some of these are newly released, but one or two are older songs that I only recently stumbled upon.

Elsewhere this month, Janet Devlin's debut album 'Hide and Seek' was released to her "pledgers" and I am really impressed by it. It's refreshing to see a young woman survive the X-Factor storm and then go away and take her time making an album she can really be proud of. The input from the likes of Newton Faulkner, Joshua Radin and Jack Savoretti certainly hasn't done her any harm either.

I've also been enjoying AlunaGeorge's hotly-anticipated 'Body Music' which was only released yesterday, but played out on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show and streamed elsewhere online last week.

In not-so-recent releases, July was very much an Iceland-inspired month in the run up to my trip and I've been enjoying a random selection of tracks from the likes of Bjork, Seabear, Sigur Ros and Jonsi, Múm and Of Monsters and Men.

All in all it's been a bit of an eclectic but enjoyable month in music..
But what's been filling your ears this July?
