Aurora Borealis

You've probably seen in the news over the last 24 hours that parts of the UK were treated to a spectacular display of the Aurora Borealis (or the Northern Lights) on Thursday night. Perhaps you were even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of it yourself?

We certainly were.

This was the view from our driveway, where I spent a good hour walking the puppy, taking photos and drinking hot chocolate while watching in complete awe as the sky put on this brilliant, pulsing display above me.. 

How can you help but be moved by the world's capacity for this kind of light in the dark?
